IBBase’s total liability to you is capped at the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim arises. See section 7, Limitation of liability for full details.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the IBBase website, applications and services (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account, subscribing or otherwise using IBBase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Services
IBBase provides AI-assisted IB practice questions, exam generation, marking feedback, syllabus tracking and related study tools. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use IBBase. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You may not share login credentials, impersonate others, or use the Services for any unlawful purpose.
3. Subscriptions and payments
Some features require a paid subscription or one-off pass. Fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. Subscription prices and billing intervals are shown at checkout. You may cancel at any time through your account billing settings or the Stripe Customer Portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or systematically download content from IBBase;
- circumvent access controls, usage limits or payment requirements;
- upload harmful, infringing, offensive or illegal material;
- interfere with the security, availability or performance of the Services; or
- use IBBase to cheat on official IB assessments or misrepresent generated work as your own in ways that breach academic integrity rules.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Intellectual property
IBBase owns all rights in the platform, branding, software and curated content unless otherwise stated. You retain ownership of content you input. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for personal study purposes during your active subscription.
6. AI-generated content disclaimer
IBBase uses artificial intelligence to generate questions, explanations and marking feedback. While we continually review and improve outputs, AI-generated content may contain errors, outdated syllabus references or inaccuracies. Always cross-check against official IB materials. IBBase is not affiliated with the International Baccalaureate Organisation.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IBBase and its operators, contractors and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data, arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Services.
IBBase’s total aggregate liability to you for any claims, losses, damages or expenses arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Services is capped at the total amount you have paid IBBase for the Services in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the liability.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable consumer law.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IBBase from any claims, damages or expenses arising out of your misuse of the Services, your content, or your breach of these Terms.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay when due, or if required by law. Upon termination, your licence to use paid features ends immediately.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You and IBBase agree to resolve disputes through good faith negotiation before resorting to courts or other formal processes.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or through the Services at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
